I have my eye on a Canon 70-200 f4 as I just don't want the extra weight and size of the f2.8. If someone has the f4 and is looking to sell reasonable, please let me know. Thank you.

Perhaps you should check Canon USA website for a refurbished one. That is, if no one has one to sell you right away. As for the extra weight of the f2.8 vs the f4. That wouldn't be be a factor for me. The f2.8 is one excellent lens. Good luck.

Thank you very much.........I have checked Canon USA and the refurbs are out of stock...so I thought I would check here. As I get older, the weight seems to becoming more of a factor than I really want to admit....but alas...I must.

Check KEH as well, look for EX or EX+ rating.

IS or non-IS?
I have two non-IS in stock, both like new. One with optional Canon tripod collar, the other with a generic tripod collar.

I have one non-IS that's virtually unused - went digital Oly instead of Canon - for $500. I'll ship it in US too.

I have an older Canon 70-300 f4-f5-6 I don't need any longer. Glass and body look very clean. Some very mild marks on the detachable hood.

It is image stabilized and has a macro setting (1.5m). I think it is a bit noisy as it focuses and stabilizes.

I took a few quick handheld photos this morning at different focal lengths, See attachments. They are OOC jpgs, no pp. You can download the full file.

If you are interested please let me know and I will figure out a reasonable quote.

I have one of those but am not interested in getting rid of it. It's way, way too good.

Have you tried fredmiranda and searched the lens? They're hard to give away at $400, because everyone wants the Tamron 2.8 VC or Canon 2.8 IS II. Frankly the Tammie is what I opted for, as it's the best IQ in it's class. Good luck shopping.
