...certainly ain't what she used to be!!

I photographed this house last year and in just this time, it's almost on the verge of collapse... most of the windows are broken, front awning is tilted...
very sad to see on the east end of Long Island.

It was probably full of life at one time... I wish I knew the story!!

Great shots Angela, if only these old places could speak to us, the stories they could tell I would imagine would be amazing.

To your question maybe see if its for sale and you can restore it, it looks like it a fixer upper maybe you can get it for fair price. You photos look interesting!

Without sponsors donating products to the restoration for advertising it would be very expensive to save!

I'm assuming it was a large family as the house is huge with lots of farm land all around...
...but we'll never know!
Thanks James for your visit and I'm glad you enjoyed!! I have a few shots from inside for another day!

No, that's ok, Richard... we're not interested!! We have our own house that we keep improving on which is much closer for my husband to get to work!!
Thanks for your visit and glad you liked these!

It looks forbidding with never had any landscaping of note. Fire Dept. will probably use it for training.

Thanks Jim for your visits, always appreciated!! I can't even image what the taxes alone on that house were, especially on LI where everything is through the roof!!!
Glad you enjoyed!

No landscaping except for the fields in the back which I don't even know if they belonged to this house and it's also very close to the road.
I wouldn't want to train in there, I have a few pictures of the inside that I will be posting... a death trap for sure!
Thanks for your visit Botann and for taking the time to comment!

I Love these photo's. You capture the majestic look of this old house wonderfully. Even the little bit of key-stoning adds to the nostalgia. Thank you for sharing :)
