You can always scan the prints in B&W ;-)

That is true, can convert them with software also.

That makes a huge difference too!
Keep the color all through the process as far as is possible. Then convert to BW. With software it is easy to adjust tone response. That is, you can apply a red filter, orange filter, green or whatever and the effect is much like it would have been with a glass filter in front of the lens. It's actually better though, because the best glass filter is not as good as the worst software filter! Things like emulating the tone response for various different films is also easy.
None of those easy things can be done if the original is shot in BW, or if film is scanned in BW. There is only one shot at this tone mapping, and it is fixed forever!

When I shoot street, I like to use my Yashica TLR. This is a good looking camera. It looks like it is in great shape. I read a bit about it on the web when I saw your post. I'm sure you are going to like it and I'm looking forward to seeing your photos!
I just sent away for a c-41 color negative kit. I think I'm going to take the plunge and start developing color negative film. So far I've only done B&W. Wish me luck.

Erich thanks, I already like it better than my X-700, Where did you get the c-41 color negative kit and witch one did you get? I have been looking at them, but want to buy a scanner first.

I bought a 1 liter kit from :
http://filmphotographyproject.comThey seem to have a nice selection of darkroom accessories and film. The price for the kit was $19.99. If you add in the shipping, they are about the same price as Amazon with free shipping. The scanner I use is an Epson. Perfection v550 is the mode.. They make several different ones; mine is on the less expensive end and I think I recall spending about $200? Not much more than that I'm sure. Amazon has them for $169.oo. I think I got mine at Staples.

That's for sure Rook!!!!!
Btw, a very handsome camera you've got there. I have a Minolta SRT102, but your model is so much better!

Thank you much Rook, I'm really proud of it, I like it better than my X-700 just because of the focus screen and the light meter.
