I took these in May 2014 with a Pentax 16-50mm F2.8 on a Pentax K-3 with neutral density filters. It's about a 5.5 mile walk much of it on loose sand but not a lot of elevation change. Take water.
The petrograph is on the east canyon wall and was take with a Pentax 50-200mm F4-5.6 kit lens for some reason or other.

Very nice. From the looks of the sky, were you using a polarizer to get it that dark?

Yeah, I forgot about that. I almost always use a polarizer in that country when the sky is clear or mostly clear. i really should get some thin filters and all. Severe vignetting occurs.
