Nikon flash help

I have a D3300 and a sb500 but i can't use that for me as a commander but it is a great slave I'm looking for a sb700 as a commander.

I could not disagree more. The SB400 is small enough to fit in your pocket when not in use. Works great!

You could get a PocketWizard Mini-TT1 for the D3300 and have the SB500 flash on a PocketWizard Flex-TT5. Those PocketWizards come in models for either Nikon or Canon cameras and support TTL metering.

Thanks; to make sure the 685 will also work as a slave so if I have three; one on the camera and two others they will all sinc
