hello Uhh's I see people asking about picasa. I had to replace my computer last month and with windows 7, I lost my copy of picasa so I started up my old computer moved the complete picasa file to a thumb drive, then installed it on my windows 10 computer. It works fine, then made a short cut for the desk top. the only thing it won't do is down load to google photo. Be sure to put it in the same file that it came from. good luck.

Every application installed on a PC needs to get there through some sort of installation routine, meaning, you must click a button titled 'Install' at some point. Just copying files onto your system will generally not work. The reason is that just copying it onto you machine makes no entries into the Registry, which is where configuration settings are stored, like those to download to Google Photo.

That sounds logical to me. I'll have to figure it out.

Thanks

I believe Google is phasing out Picasa. Mine prompted me (about 6 months ago) to go to https://photos.google.com/ and I found all my stuff there ready to go. I've used it ever since.

I had it and really liked it but when google guit supporting it any new photo I added would have a pink cast to it got rid of it because of that. I wish they would bring it back.
