Well, no sky tonight! Lake Anderson is now at 105% and the water level is 4 feet higher than the emergency spill point. So water is absolutely rushing out into Coyote Creek and has now shut down Highway 101 north to San Jose. We are not affected in Morgan Hill, but Coyote Creek has flooded its banks all the way north into San Jose and there are pictures of rescues and cars along streets with water up to the windows. No drought in sight as far as I can see.
Here is a video of the spillover. The person doing this started out steady, but quickly lost control. I did go up to see it today, but it was raining so hard that I left the camera in the car.
