Help with identification

First thought it was a finch, but the cocked tail suggests a wren. Beak and coloring suggests a sparrow. Need an experienced birdwatcher's help.

Thanks for your thoughts. I don't recall the cocked tail with the song sparrows I see around here.

The coloring and markings look like a Song Sparrow but I always thought that tail would indicate a wren...marsh wren? sedge wren? Or just a spunky Song Sparrow!! Just a thought.

A bird doesn't change species simply because it cocks its tail no more than a human changes species because (s)he kicks his/her leg in the air.
