Fox in the moonlight - fantasy piece.
It was raining yesterday and I was bored....
This is a "photo art" or "photo manipulation" or "composite" image, I created from 4 different shots that I took.
I really like the concept, it makes an interesting fantasy image. There is a couple of items I would change; If those white specks in the sky were to represent stars
then the moon should not have any specks in front of it, also I would like to see the moon slightly smaller.

I like it a lot (though purple is my least favorite color and I am wanting to push it to blues, knowing that is just my bias), and I'm jealous of what you're figuring out how to do. Building these kinds of fantasy images is one of my several goals. Though I'm headed in a somewhat different direction, the skills needed are exactly the same. Mr. Fox is quite wonderful, and his shadow. The sand, the fence with the broken slat - wonderful.
One question and one suggestion:
The prints are great, but how did he get from them into this position without any other marks? (I don't have an answer, willing to concede magic)
For me, the moon is too big and too elongated. I don't mind it being un-naturally large, that is part of the fantasy, but it seems to overpower. Also, as moons set they become squashed rather than stretched, so if I applied any distortion it would be to elongate the horizontal rather than the vertical.
Great work, please keep sharing these. I may get brave enough to join you after I practice a bit more. You are way ahead of me. Selection tools can drive me to drink.
I love it, but I do agree with Dennis regards the stars?

haha...I couldn't figure out the blending mode for adding the moon without the stars, from the sky, showing through. I'm taking away the stars from "in front" of the moon as I type this. What a pain! lol
Thanks for looking. :)

Thanks Minnie! All I can say is give it a try when it's raining out. :) It's funny you mention the shape of the moon...I didn't alter it's shape purposely. hmmm...

Thanks! Yeah...working on the stars. Oy!
Ok....if anyone is still watching this thread...here is an updated version where I cleaned most of the stars off of the moon and added a slightly bluer hue....for Minnie. :)

Luvin' It!
Just noticed this is in FYC so it should have some comments.
This is a fine FANTASY image. Blue or purple? Obviously shot during the purple hours.
Stardust in front of the moon. No problem.
No fence shadow? Shape of moon? Magic footprints? Hell yes! It's the magic of fantasy.
Most of the comments are aimed at making the image more realistic.
I will agree that the moon could be smaller to give more attention to the fox.
Overall great work, from the excellent original images to the well executed blending.
Did I mention that this is a fine FANTASY IMAGE?
