Not the world's greatest picture but my first eagle in the wild. Had a few in flight but just were not focused too well. We were surprised, the area we were at is not know for significant Eagle sightings but we saw three in just a short time frame.

Man, I remember the first time I got to photograph a Bald Eagle. It was one of the best feelings I had ever had. It still gives me a thrill. After a shoot, I can't wait to get home and check them out. You know where they hang now, so take your time , plan ahead and most importantly. have fun

And it is only an hour away. We went on a hunt a few weeks ago to the Mississippi - 9 hour round trip to supposedly the perfect place and nothing. We did see a few on the ground in a farm field when were were almost to the river but did not want to stop because of all that was ahead. As the saying goes take it when you can.

Thank you for your comment, it is appreciated.

Ohhh, I can just imagine how excited you were to see an eagle, Michael! I have yet to see one! We've visited a couple parks where we were told eagle reside...but no eagle!
