Very nicely composed and presented in my way of thinking; but I'm not a photographer, just a picture taker.
Looks like a good time to sit inside with a hot pot of coffee and a book - or two - camera close by, of course . . .

That was my first thought about the top of #1, too;
but then it was way of showing the sun trying to shine through.
Either way, I like it . . .

These make attractive minimalist scenes, I can imagine how quiet it must have been there.

Thank you, Bob! I was reluctant to remove the sun peeking through. What I could do, though, is chop some out of the middle :)

Thank you very kindly. Appreciate your comments! I just replied to rlaugh (without having read your two entries) that I want to keep the sun, but that chopping some out of the middle is a possibility

Thank you for your descriptive comments, Pat. Much appreciated! Sorry for the cold part, just trying to share my pain

Thanks so much for your comments, Karin. Quiet and a bit disorienting when you reach an extra-thick area of fog where there is nothing near the road to "ground" you!
