Was on a girl trip to New Orleans last weekend with a friend(her idea) and have just now been able to sit down and do anything with some of the photos. These were taken our first night there after cking into our room. My friend had never been there prior to a week or so ago and then on a field trip with her young son. Needless to say she was not to sure about walking the streets and had quiet and eye opening experience. Actually was ready to go back to the room but I wouldn't let her, told her we were gonna bust Bourbon St. right down the middle  My first at night photography. What fun!

Glad to see ya'll made it back home safe. NOLA, especially Bourbon St, not the safest place for unescourted ladies at night.
You did real good with the pictures a couple of them are really outstanding.
W/O a doubt the black street musician is my favorite. It looks like you really enjoyed your trip. One of my photo journeys this summer is to a 3 day blues festival and hope to share alot of B&W street photos plus I get stage pass for press so performer pics should be abundant.........

Need a gaffer? I'm available.
Thanks to each of you for looking and commenting. Have to admit it is a different world doing street photography but sooo fun. Have quiet a few more photos from this trip that need some processing that I haven't gotten to. I probably missed the best photo which would have been to capture the look on my friends face:) She lived thru the experience tho. Frenchcoast, think I'm gonna have to have another go at the plantations but move upwards your way. I never felt uncomfortable on Bourbon St. and one of the things I noticed was there were very visible police both on horse and foot. Maybe it is my age speaking.
