Best Normal Range Zoom for Nikon DX Camera

Only Taking a guess... I think the person meant "something" between 24 to 105mm ?? It IS rather difficult to answer this question. I do have a 24 - 105 (Canon) and that is my usual "walk-around" lens. I , as most photographers here have, a number of different lenses to fit different shooting locations.
Wide-angle zoom, 10-18mm - a 24-105mm, a 70-200mm and a Tamron 150-600mm. The list is longer than I wish to relate here - However - That is what is in my kit when out and about. Three Canons will have these lenses on them. (NO! I do not make a habit of lugging all of these around my neck.) They are at hand when called for.
