Diana Jean Krall, OC, OBC (born November 16, 1964) is a Canadian jazz pianist and singer, known for her contralto vocals.[2] She has sold more than 6 million albums in the US and over 15 million worldwide. On December 11, 2009, Billboard magazine named her the second Jazz artist of the 2000–09 decade, establishing her as one of the best-selling artists of her time.
Krall is the only jazz singer to have eight albums debuting at the top of the Billboard Jazz Albums.[3] To date, she has won five Grammy Awards and eight Juno Awards. She has also earned nine gold, three platinum, and seven multi-platinum albums

Yes she is very popular here , but I haven't seen her over here for a long time , she's to big to play in our small night club now , but she still has a house here ,

I've seen her perform 5 times. First was in the Algonquin Hotel in NYC, where we had dinner and sat six feet away from her at the piano. Even got her to sign her CD.

Oh yeah, Diana is fabulous! Part of what you're hearing is great players. She has some of the best out there, which is perfect, given she is not just a great singer, but is a very good player herself, so those other players help her play at a high level. The only unfortunate thing that recently she has decided to go the way of her husband, and has chosen newer tunes that don't match up to the greatness of the standards that really showcase her talents.
