I feel stupid asking this simple question....but I have bought Elements 15 and I just can not figure out how to convert my RAW files to Jpeg. I have opened RAW file = TIF and modified it ....then I can save it to DNG files . But how can I convert it to jpeg? There is no option on the SAVE page. I tried the guide , but there are so many other Q&A - just for days to read.

Thank you M

Open the Raw file in ACR, do the editing you want to do there.
When finished, click on the button "open image" on the bottom right corner of the ACR window.
The image will now open in PSE and you can "Save As" and select .jpg as the format.

Your original raw file and the xmp sidecar file will still be there as well as the .jpg file.

In addition to Morning Star's instruction, after you click "save as" and choose jpg, you may see a small dialog box offering choices of quality. Here is more info:

There is no particular need to do the interim tif or dng.

I believe when you go to save the RAW into JPG, you have a few choices on saving. Select convert to JPG and give it a name.

George, I'm curious: How do you go about "save the RAW into JPG" in PSE?
I know of no other way than to click on the "Open Image" in the ACR window, after which you have to select Save or Saves As from the File menu.

There is a "Save Image" button as well, but that only gives the option of saving as .dng

Oh boy at times I feel like you but they say there is no stupid questions. I have found a way around it now I play the CRS card haha. I just had to upgrade to Elements 15 to support the new camera I got and new computer I got. I have used Elements 11 and could work my way around it in the dark. But what I think you might be doing is to not use save as. When I use save as it gives me choices of how I want to save my image. I just click on the jpeg bar and because I post to Facebook only I put that photo on my desktop. I created a folder on my desktop for FB and all photos that are ready go into that. As I do Street Photography also I have a folder for just B&W. I am not one of the pros on this site but I have walked in your shoes.

I was referring to my RAW software, but.....in Elements 12 when I open a RAW photo it goes into a first window to address the RAW software settings. When finished in that window, I continue with the regular Elements window and after all adjustments are made I select "save as" and then "name" it and select the format.....JPEG is one of several formats. Was this of any help to you.
