Just curious what y'all think of photos like this with just a touch of color? Or is it more dramatic just black and white? Note: This photo was also edited on my Note 5.

Great shot, but better in just black and white.

I'm a fan of color, especially in cold cheeks.

This effect has been done to death. Personally, I think it is gimmicky and it detracts from the intent of the photo.
Either make it all B&W or all color.

A "touch of color" can be effective, but not in this shot. It seems better when it is small and farther away. Also, it's good at calling attention to something special - or out of place. Still, it's your camera and your processing, so do what you want. Most cameras these days have the ability to take shots like that. You select the color, and that's the only color that will appear.

In my opinion:

Does the color add anything to this image? No

Does the color distract from the poignant, sweet expression of the child? Most definitely yes.

sarah, a great captured image. my suggestion is make it black and white and just color his lips or eyes. but you are the artist and you need to create your vision regardless of what other people say.

This is a classic example of how color can be distracting. This is a B&W image

This photo is all about the facial expression. The color doesn't help.

No color! No color! No color! lol I'm not a fan of a touch of color in what is essentially a B&W photo. Ansel Adams would be nonplussed, to say the least.

Thank you all! I really do like the black and white ashirt well. I was just curious as to everyone else's thoughts, because there are many people who request such coloring in photos. But I personally do like no color also! Thank you all again!!! A great day to all :-)

I like the touch of color effect.... I know it has been overdone, but...
