Chocolates for everyone...

Hi everyone
This is my first post on UHH. I have been a regular visitor at UHH and I never forget to check the posts daily. All i can say, you guys are such an amazing photographers and each post teaches me a new thing.
I recently developed interest in photography. To this extent that I spent my peanut bonus just to get D750! lol! And my wife got angry at me
. So I bought her a box of chocolate from the remaining money (peanuts). So first, I photographed those chocolates which you can see here, before giving them to her 
. And now she is mad at me 
!
Please review the pic and critics are all welcome.

Thanks BassmanBruce. I hope, few dinner dates, few more gifts and few outings will somehow save me. I know this damn toy will cost me much more. But anything for photography.
On criticism, can you please provide more detail so that I will keep it my mind next time.

None of the flowers or chocolates seem to be in sharp focus, close, but just a little fuzzy on the edges. Maybe this is a handheld shot at low shutter speed?

oof= out of focus, As another newcomer to the Hog I've noticed that participants here "love" their little abbreviations. Most of them I figure out ..eventually.. but it makes the posts difficult to understand, at best. At worst they are merely unintelligible 😡.

Yes, I too see that. It was shot wide-open on a f4 zoom at 55mm f/4. The focus seems to be on the one brown chocolate that is behind and underneath the left white chocolate.
He should try 35mm @ f/8 or even f/11 and then crop to "enlarge" image as presented. Obviously at a different shutter speed and/or ISO too. The idea of the still life was nice though.
Certainly better than a few of my early attempts in the old days (1978).

First welcome. Now for the critic: As others have mentioned the foreground is out of focus. Maybe if you had used a smaller f-stop and a tripod you could fix that. I find the box or whatever it is on the right to be distracting. The shadows need a bit more detail, perhaps post processing could fix that? I don't know what all those white spots of light in the background are, but I love them. Keep that.
