Financing for The Wall

Trump's wall at the Mexican border will probably be paid for through a 20% tax on imports from Mexico. It looks like we will be paying for the wall after all. No surprise there. With Mexican imports totaling about $259 billion, the tax would generate about $59 billion, so that should cover the cost, not counting cost overruns. With fewer illegal aliens entering the country, employers will now have the opportunity to employ American citizens.

So much for exporting natural gas and diesel to Mexico. Texas is going to take a hit.

They already had the opportunity to hire U.S. citizens. This is a tax on us.

You don't know the gas and diesel will stop flowing there.

I don't think Mexico is in that big of a bind to buy from us. Maybe not, but if I was a company preparing to build a billion dollar refinery and pipeline, I would think long and hard about the current circumstances. Wouldn't you?

All speculation...ALL! Why not learn to play 'jacks' or operate a yo-yo, something far more productive than whining!
