This was the first time we had met our grandaughter.
That's our son and dughter in law.
Hand held in available (hospital) light. Just a quick candid.
1/15 @ F2 (wide open) and ISO 800 and F=35mm.
In hindsight I should have kicked the ISO up to 3200 (max) to give me a bit higher shutter speed and possible a bit more DOF by shooting at f2.8.

Very touching moment.

Selfies...maybe over two dozen tries in my cellar. what I like here is part of the face is hidden, mysterious a bit and the cracks and wrinkles show years of history and it is all hidden in there. Like especially the B&W

You are the master of selfies. I like the expression on your face and the texture of your face and hat. Having met you I can say your portrait captures the real you and every line was earned by hard work, good food, and laughs - and squinting through the viewfinder!

JJ thanks for hosting. I am not sure where I will begin. Think I have too many favorites - and they change regularly.

Maybe not a real fave but what I like is that working with thirds, I gave the majority of them to the cloud cover. The reflection of both the sunrise and the clouds which ease over to the starboard side creates something I like, as does the DOF but to me there are two things here, the DOf and also the graduating intensity of colours from port to starboard. Shot in Manual from a tripod then pp'd on OloneoHDRengine. This is the Lower North Shore of Québec, access by the water only.

Near 6 Weeks old and our Grandson Mason James in light of our apt. window. Used my Canon 6D and a 100-400IS lens while standing over him. No Flash just window light, love the tongue.

Looks like it looks here, today...The coloration and subject give it a lonely ,eery, quite feel. Nice!

Adorable,Wickspics..the right amount of natural light, seems to be softer than flash or man made .

This was taken Jan. 2016 and in my neighbors driveway. ISO 400, f/4 at 1/640 sec with a Nikon D5100 and a 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. I had to increase exposure and take out some shadowing. I have a hard time figuring out the correct exposure in the snow and usually under expose the shot.
