Based on the crowds on an autumn day, I think Clingman's Dome may be one of the most popular destinations in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, second to Cades Cove. I visited in early fall when the leaves were just starting to change. The views up there are spectacular on a clear day.

It definitely gets it's fair share of traffic. It's a great place to visit any time of the year.
