Put that "Lonely Repairman" back to work.
1928 Maytag Model 90 Wringer. By 1924 one out of five washing machines was a Maytag.

Believe it or not, I still have one in the garage for washing rags.:):)
I always wanted on of those. Probably would have felt differently if I had to use it every day. Ha!
They are still in demand. I was in appliance business, and a good used one was always in demand. Car washes, stables, and the Amish still use them. I have even seen them used to wash potatoes for sale.
Getting the potatoes through the wringer is a daunting task!
Potatoes thru the wringer - must be how potatoe chips are made.

Caught my arm in one as a child, stuck my fingers in the roller, pulled my whole arm in. Lucky my Mother was there and tripped the wringer. Never did that again.😂😢😅
Very nice and brings back old memories. When I was growing up we had a similar Maytag powered by a gasoline engine. Later when electricity came to our place, we traded the gasoline engine in for an electric motor (kept the same machine, just had the Maytag man make a service call in which he installed the electric motor and left with the gasoline one as a trade in!).
A very interesting picture and a lot of the comments are also very funny.
I love this, KT! My mom had a similar one in the '50s..wringer and all! My, haven't we come a long way? LOL
