You have met my long-suffering dog Ted, who prefers hiking the same two or three trails over and over so that he doesn't have to encounter different things. Just now his favorite areas are socked in with snow and I don't trust my car to get me there and back safely, so this morning we headed for a trail at a lower elevation that I knew would be sunny and accessible. The scenery wasn't bad either, especially when I scrambled up hillsides. Although in the two portraits of Ted (minus, finally, his orange hunting vest) he seems to be posing, he actually kept glancing back over his shoulder as if to say, "There's a perfectly good trail over there in case you've forgotten."
Anyway I figured some of you could use a good sunshine fix.

Good for you! We got our neighbor a plaque that reads, "Dogs are welcome. People are tolerated".
Our dog Elvis isn't perfect, but he's our dog. That says a lot.

Yes, I love where I live--thank you. And I love Ted.

Thank you very much. After I posted these I wondered if I should've desaturated them a bit. What do you think?

Ha! Elvis is a great name, and his being your dog does say a lot. Right about now I think Ted would tell you "My owner isn't perfect, but I tolerate her."

I don't think so, they are fine as is other than the sky is a little too "dark blue"...did you use a filter?

I always use a polarizing filter, yes. I do find that the colors around here when the sun is shining are just really intense. The picture quality in my camera is set to neutral and I do very little post-processing (because I use Picasa), just some fill light and shadow adjustment to bring out the contrast. Thanks for your reply.
Oh that beautiful deep blue sky! Ours went south a bit lately. Lots of grey. Thanks for a breath of sunshine!
