The electoral college has outlived whatever usefulness it once had. The person with the most votes should be President. Time to have a true democracy where every vote counts equally.

actually he is correct ..... one of the reasons for the establishment of the Electoral College .... was because the United States in the 18th and early 19th century was mostly rural .... voters did not have access to newspapers and because the U.S. was so vast .... candidates could not talk to voters and explain their positions on important matters ..... members of the Electoral College were usually the most informed in a voting district ..... to get some incite as to what the founders of the republic thought ..... you have only to think about a statement by Thomas Jefferson .... democracy to survive depends on an informed citizen (not a literal quote) .... today every voter has available to him or her .... newspapers, tv, radio and each candidate has the ability to campaign in every corner of the nation ... so yes the Electoral College has out lived its usefulness ...
