We moved into the house we are in 37 years ago with two boys and a rescue dog, who lived to be 16. My husband was not a cat person. We live in a small village surrounded by fields and farms, within four years 11 cats had adopted us! Hubby had to quickly learn to love cats. Now we have one old guy who was a feral 15 years ago, after much coaxing he become a very affectionate cat and is another member of the family.
I am a cat person too. Tend to accumulate ferals that become house cats... I love how clear the eyes are!

I have lived in my home for 43 yrs. we have adopted more animals than I can remember, some domestic & some wild. There are three that stand out in my mind, we raised three infant crows all at different times. I am still amazed by how intelligent these birds are they did things no one would believe, the first one was raised with a wild mallard duck & they were great friends . The duck had a little plastic pool to swim in and it bothered the crow, he did not know what to make of it. One day he decided to find out, so he jumped in the pool with the duck, crows don't swim very well, he managed to get out o.k. That was the end of his trying to be a duck. When he started flying, he was a thief brought home all kinds of things, the neighbors mail and any thing he could carry. A large pain but very loveable.
Trouble the crow with my#3 daughter

A lovely story and picture Phil. It is a lovely feeling to have creatures feel secure around us. We have a very friendly blackbird called spot, he has one white dot on his back, sits on the window sill tapping for his food, he gets fed separately from the others and is a great pet follows me all around the garden.
Exactly!!!
One of my babies is really sick, just found out he has mouth cancer. So far he's still eating and it doesn't seem to bother him that he had 4 teeth removed, I just don't want to see him suffer or any animal :(

Thank you Donna, boredom does these things to me, I think the bad weather even affects the cats their a little goofier than usual.
