good one, but a little story, when I first started getting a little more serious about my photography, I bought myself a fuji hs30 bridge camera........all those dials! ooher so did a 1 day course on using said controls etc ...............bugger me I was fraustrated at it's limitations in some areas compared to dslr.........so eventually went out and got a nikon d5200 ............similar with compacts now have one that gives more manual control and shoots raw.

Have d7200 too as simply canot afford anything further, but hey ho at the mo they meet my needs and I will continue to drool over hasslebads and the like

A nice story, and eventually you did the right thing (a d5200 took this photo).

this was taken with my D5200 couple years back, as shot no editing, one of those rare sweet moments

Thanks, jederick. It's just another reason to keep in shape.

A nice one. I think the D5200 is a decent camera.

Interestingly, the person under all that equipment is a female.

I can't say that the gear is impressing me at all. She is clearly shooting video too, not stills.

Near as I can tell the large screen is actually attached to the camera on the hot shoe. That is insane! A much better arrangement could be fabricated from "Follow Focus" type bracing picked up on eBay, that would mount the camera to a bracket by the tripod socket, and also attach the monitor to the same bracket but not via the camera. It could also have a shoulder brace.

I have a battery powered monitor fairly similar to that one, but I use it mounted on a macro bench. It can run on batteries, but I've never set it up attached physically to a camera.

No matter what that rig does, it just looks like too much work to haul around, unless you're getting paid to do it. Hadn't seen anything like it before. Is your gear lighter, hobby-level, or does it also need a back strap and overhead piping?

But perhaps not the most efficient way.
