Does anyone know the release date for the DL series cameras? Nikon has delayed them a couple of times because of the earthquakes. I am waiting for the dl25-500 specifically. It looks like a great travel camera. Please let me know.
Thank You.

I want to do the same. Did you get the XT-2? I really want that camera.

The Nikon DL 24-500 can be pre-ordered at B&H for $997. B&H will only say it is coming soon. Perhaps by April 2017. Rumors say it was delayed due to the earthquakes in Japan.

That's what my local store has been telling me for a couple of years now! If a company is losing millions because of geological and/or meteorological problems, maybe they should consider moving the plant.

Ever try moving a plant ? Displacing workers is only one of about 10,000 decisions that need to be made. If possible I would suggest anywhere within 20 miles of me.

As a long time Nikon user (since mid 1970's) I feel Nikon is in a downward out of control spin. In Japan, even their lenses have fallen to 3rd place in sales. To answer your question, I wouldn't hold my breath on the DL Series.

I would suggest some of their recent and rumored releases suggest otherwise. Camera sales have been seriously hurt by cell phones. I'm also a longtime user and see current affairs quite differently.

Earthquakes are common in Japan. California wishes to never be like Japan, when it comes to earthquakes. We're lightweights in the experiences.

2 things, maybe 3...

1) I'm not in Japan

2) Canon doesn't make any lenses that fit any of my Nikon's

and

3) Only the Lord knows how much longer I'll be doing this, so I don't plan on switching brands!

Best of luck.

B&H has changed their expected delivery to March 2017. This is also what Nikon Rumors is reporting.

The easiest way to keep up to date is to Google 'Nikon DL release Date' and set one week for a time frame.
