Are they scavengers, Earl? The featherless heads remind me of our turkey vultures. Oh well..their beautiful bodies make up for their not so beautiful heads. lol Good shots, Earl. Really brought out the colors in the feathers.

I just asked Mr Google what they feed on & he said, 'snails, frogs, & aquatic insects'. On the other hand, White Ibises feed on crayfish & small crabs. I have a special affinity with ibises because we have something in common--a rough head but a gorgeous body, lol.

LOL Hey, I wouldn't be saying that, Earl. The ibis also has a big body, a pinhead and a long schnoz.

Earl, Donna... You guys just cracked me up. I really shouldn't laugh so hard on a full stomach. *groan*

Anyway, Earl, that is a beautiful bird with those iridescent feathers, even if his noggin is naked. Excellent detail!

Beautiful shot, Earl. The colors and details in the downloads are very nice. I think you should name him Earl, since you relate to him so well!
