Eastern Spinebill (Australian Bird)

Unfortunately we don't have Hummingbirds in Australia. Perhaps the closest we have is the tiny Eastern Spinebill which we often hover at a blossom before landing. I was lucky to recently photograph this little guy in my garden.

(Edit: Sorry, this is not an Eastern Spinebill, it is in fact a Striated Thornbill. My apologies).

Somewhat, but if you could see the bird species they have to shoot "Down Under", you would be saying some thing like, "How sad we don't have anything like that here." LOL
