One more...
Just to make everyone suitably jealous...
This was taken outside my kitchen door. We have ZERO light pollution here. (I'm in the middle of nowhere at the back of beyond.)
I need to find a way to take a shot of the Milky Way in summer, because that, too, is directly above my head and clear as anything. (My jaw almost dropped to the floor when I realized what I'm seeing.)
This shot was taken at about 8:30pm, hand held, in -13C. (I took a lot of shots, only one that was clear.)
I wish I could have figured out how to take a landscape photo, because it was so bright outside -- but I couldn't get the camera to see it.
Nice moon, Silke. I believe that if you're wanting to include some landscape, you need a tripod and a long shutter speed of several seconds. Others can give you a better idea of specifics than I.
That looks awesome.... What kind of lens do you use? I tried to take a picture of the supermoon we had last winter, but I think I don't have the right gear for those.. I have a D3200 with a 18-55mm lens.
The moon shot was taken with a Tamron tele lens. (Goes to 300mm) On the macro setting. Never knew you could do that, but apparently it worked. :)
Yeah, I do want a decent tripod, but might wait until summer.
