I took a short walk on the lakewalk yesterday and took a few shots along the way. I don't know the story behind this, but it looked interesting.

Good eye to pick that up. One guess about the significance would be an analogue of the bridges in France and Ljubljana on which lovers put padlocks, oftentimes with their initials and date etc. Apparently the locks on the bridge in France (Paris, I think) are being removed because of the tonnage of metal hanging off the cables. It isn't quite that severe in LJ where there are several thousand locks on the cables on both sides of the Butcher's Bridge in the heart of the city.

Nice shots, Mike! When I saw the first one I remembered someone posting the bridge that Father Jack was talking about. Wonder if it has the same significance??
