Ive always liked the look of these creatures. Love this one due to the dramatic light I was able to capture that day.

A super portrait of this creature!
Oh, very nice!
Oops - forgot what section we were in. Sorry.
The lighting on the iguana is wonderful. And the focus is exceptional. The composition is quite nice. For some reason the leaves look a bit muddy, but I don't know why.
The light on him is beautiful. I think you have cropped a little tight on the right, but it isn't a deal breaker. I would like to see the leaves brightened up a little, but not a lot you surely don't want them brighter than your iguana.
Thanks for looking and for your suggestions, folks!
This is a really nice shot. The composition and light are excellent. The subject is strong and the background does not distract.
After reading the other responses, I am torn between having more on the right which brings the body a little bit more into the frame and not feel crowded against the side versus keeping the eye on the centerline. I guess I lean toward leaving it where it is because the eye is so strong.
Good job.
Jerry
Love the dramatic lighting; really enhances the scaly texture. I also like the separation from the dark foliage. Well handled.
I think you captured a nice balance of light and shadow. I have many pictures of these beautiful lizards from my trip to Costa Rica in 2013 but they were all shot in bright noontime sun. Good job of catching the late afternoon sun.
A beautiful example of using glancing low light to accentuate texture...in this case the intricate and varied patterns of scalation of this iguana.
Suggestions for improvement?
There are lots of ways to do it differently...but better? ...assuming this was your visualized image?
You nailed it!
best regards,
Dave
