I have a decided weakness for roses that have single blooms (4-8 petals)...DAINTY BESS is one of the finest pink roses ever introduced, in my opinion. The blooms are accented with burgundy stamens when fully open and is a vigorous bloomer with minimal disease problems. It was introduced 90 years ago in Australia by E. P. Archer (and daughter). Only the very best roses have remained in cultivation this long...longevity is based on quality.

Bob they are beautiful images. Love the lighting and detail in all. Notice you say it was cultivated in Australia - well it's got to be good hasn't it? LoL

Bob, excellent photos and the education was fantastic as well.
I love this simple but beautiful rose. Unlike the many petaled roses you see most often this rose shines as an example of pure simplicity and beauty. Thanks for sharing.
Stunning rose Bob, the downloads make them pop. Just checked to see if I can get it in the UK and yes I will order one.
Nice of you to visit the post, Sylvia. Glad to hear that you will be growing this beauty! With your obvious "green thumb", you should be enjoying old DAINTY BESS this summer! I appreciate your visit, remarks and the smilies.
Beautiful shots of a different rose Bob...Lorraine & I love our roses as well but I've never seen one like this...
Ron, it is a stunning rose with very few faults. Roses, as you would know, require significant effort to thrive...you obviously have what it takes to exceed in growing roses. I would love to see some more of your roses. Have a nice day!

Always enjoy your happy faced avatar! Australia surely served as the originating site of this winner, so I guess you're right..."it's had to be good, and it was/is"! Thanks for coming by!
