With the giant Gator photographed at Circle B which went viral on the news https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWS5xfIaoeA

So I thought I'd post a shot of a 12' Gator I shot while hiking on the Gator Alley trial at Circle B a few weeks ago. Please click Download for best view.

Great shot Walt. They really are prehistoric looking animals aren't they.

Lucky you! I hear they have closed those trails now to keep idiots from doing foolish things with the residents. People do stupid things, are injured or simply frightened and the authorities have the gators killed. Totally wrong IMHO!

I agree with you. However, I was just walking the trail when he crossed in front of me so I took the photo. This is what the trails are for and I shoot there almost everyday. The problems come when folks try to get too close or chase the wildlife, which is wrong. One young man saw a big gator sleeping across the trail. He should have turned back and took another path, but instead, he tried to impress his girlfriend by getting a couple of feet from the gator's head and taking a selfie. Then, he posted it on the internet. So they had to destroy the gator because he had lost his fear of people. This was wrong and unfortunate.
