The members of Congess not attending the Inauguration claim they are doing so to protest Donald Trump. They are not. They are openly defying and disrespecting our system of elections in place for over 200 years. They affront each and every one of you who voted for Mr. Trump. They are more than protesters. In my opinon they are traitorous anarchists united against our constitution. This demonstration of contempt for our system goes bac k to the deplorable action of Barack Obama at his 1st State of The Union address when he openly in front of millions arrogantly denigrated the assembled SCOTUS sitting in the front row.

The issue was not about liberalism, it's was more about respect for the incoming Pres. and he is getting back the respect that he bestowed on a lot of people [from the reporters, to the President and the Pope and everyone in between] since the start of his campaign. The only one that he seems to have any respect for is Putin. If everybody that he disrespected was to renege going, the seats would probably be quite empty.

Look forward to the changes we're going to make. Yes we intend to let women rule their own bodies and to outlaw discrimination. We're going to make it easier to vote and hopefully easier for our children to get a college education without amassing huge debt. It is not about Trump. It is about disrect for our constitution and election laws. Trump won legitimately. The popular vote is legally diregarded in this election as it has been 6 times in past presidential election. If people care to ignore the inauguration they are free to do so but that is not what is happening. These dissenters are in open defiance and trying to deny a duly elected President from bejng swarn in by fomenting hate through the public disclosure of their actions thereby encouraging others to follow.

I should also suggest that if you care to participate in American politics you become a citizen of our country.

And I would suggest that we have just as many rights to express our views as the Americans do expressing theirs in every else's affairs.
Further more I lived in the States for 13 years ,legally, my wife [an American] got after me to get my Citizenship and was in the process ,took a long look at the pluses and minuses [along with my wife ] and we came to the decision that Canada was the place we wanted to raise our newborn daughter. At that time it was Education and Way of Life that made up our minds. Not for a moment have we regretted our decision.
