They have a long way to go before they get their act together.

Walk-Mart is ranked the second worse grocery store in the nation. It will never get any better until it starts to treat it's employees better. Face it s@#t runs down hill.

My mother went to Walmart the other day and bought some fish, she said it was better than what our local grocery store carries. She seldom goes there so to say she was shocked is an understatement.

I look forward to any competition, better prices/choices for the consumer.

In our area Walmart's grocery prices tend to be the highest of all the food markets, with the exception of seafood and their bakery.

That still won't get me to shop there.

I think the statement was about online shopping. However, shopping at W-M in person is like social networking.

As far as online shopping they'll need to earn my trust.

I know what you mean, Jerry, and I'm with you. I purchased a Nikon P&S camera for the wife from Wal-Mart a couple years ago. Needless to say I'll never shop at W-M again or buy another piece-of-crap Nikon camera.

In my area walmart tends to carry fewer brands and instead of 6 different items on a shelf just one....hundreds of just one item on a huge display. walmart moto.....if we don't have it you don't need it.

I thought that was Costco's motto.

Walmart is just a classy overstock outlet with some refinements.

Camera folks beware, my experience has been that Walmart doesn't carry batteries for what it sells.

it vary from store to store , where i live the upscale large walmart is fine , go at 7 am and no traffic .same employees have been there for 10 + years . the food section is fine , prices 25 % less then a chain grocery store . just dont buy anything that need a explanation . a roasted chicken for $ 4.98 , cheaper then dog food .

Ever try to price match a toaster or mixer or most small appliances or for that matter a trolling motor for your boat. Can't be done.....they have their own model numbers and most of that stuff is made specifically for walmart and more than likely cheapened up for the price advantage. I tried to order on line a propeller for a motor I bought there a few months after I got it there only to find no such motor ever been built at motorguide.

Friend of mine started taking his own design of a shower stall. Made quite a few of them. Was getting quite a few requests for them. Wanted to expand but wasn't to sure someone suggested sell some through Walmart. They wanted several hundred first order. So he expanded was doin pretty good. Then walmart wanted to buy him out. But had just got a contract with lowes. So he said he could not sell out do to other agreements. So they dropped him.
