RWR, great, thank you so much. Got it! Makes sense now, much appreciated. Gets confusing sometimes, and getting the info I need without extra and unnecessary puff helps SO MUCH!!.
Glad to see there are ppl still willing to help new people without criticizing my efforts or "Where" I post the question like others have in here... It was a successful way to run off the new people to this site. I will NEVER ask another question here publicly again. The "Elite" camera snobs can go back to arguing, now that you were polite enough to answer me in a kind and precise manner. I really do appreciate it.

You know, Liz, you might wish to think about your approach and attitude.

You have made 9 posts since you joined the forum, one of which was a duplicate.

Secondly, starting a relationship by insulting people doesn't always garner the best results. You started doing that on your sixth post if we ignore the duplicate.

Now, like you I still have an AE-1, amongst other things, and could quite possibly help you in some ways with your FD lenses and EOS SL1, but you have given me every reason not to do so.

The PM you sent to me was clearly a similar rant, so I deleted it after reading the first couple of sentences and set you to ignore status.

That could be a UHH record for being ignored after fewer than 10 posts.

Perhaps if you rethink your approach and demonstrate that you can behave in a civil manner, then the situation will be reassessed, but you did not get off to the best possible start.

Biting the hand that feeds you is seldom a good strategy, although to be fair I can think of one exception.

UHH is an excellent forum with a whole spectrum of members, many are very generous with their expertise. Some of us are gnarly opinionated folks, and the occasional spat or misunderstanding is inevitable in a medium such as this.

You could consider starting over and taking a note from the Southern Lady's Playbook - "You don't always have to be nice, but you should always be polite!"

Most people are willing to help, but no one’s perfect. I get pretty ill-humored myself when I run out of Jägermeister. It’s not uncommon for these threads to get derailed: in this one the first 4 lines of the very first reply had nothing to do with the question, and many of the other replies didn’t either. I think you’ll only be hurting yourself if you don’t ask about something you’re not sure of, and no one has to reply to snarky comments.

there is a slaughter house near the nest and they bring all kinds of different morsels. I've seen mostly fish and rabbit that they catch. That pig skin was gross. The moderators know more as they've been with them since Oct. this year and several years past w/ her previous mate (Ozzie and Harriett) I appreciate you taking a look. They are quite magnificent. Camera looses perspective, the nest is about 6ft diameter and the baby is about the size of a small chicken (you are the first one to even mention it, is what I think I said, I wasn't keeping track of the views, lol) Its pretty awesome to watch when they turn the camera on the pond and they come out with a fish......

Please use "Quote Reply" instead of "Reply". I'm sure all of this is very interesting, but without context it is just words.

I have some old lenses for my canon AE1. Don't even remember what mount it has. How do I find out what adapter to buy to try out my old lenses? I have an e mount or ef mount on the DSLR, believe they will fit either. (I'm getting a little confused) 58 on the filter side of it, so what size reversing ring and adapter should I get? I know you experts out there have the answer, lol I have the cropped sensor on the Canon SL1, would LOVE to try some of my old lenses.
