Email photo software offers.
I get email offers from time to time from companies offering their software to do amazing things. One that comes to mind is from Inpixio called Photo Maximizer I think. Says you can enlarge up to 1000% and get sharp results. Has anyone tried this or any other software and had good results?
My first thought is if it were possible, why isn't it part of the mainstream, such as Adobe Photoshop? Buyer beware

Wow, thank you! You just reminded me, that I have Perfect Resize 7(it's a similar software) on my computer (has been there for years). Years ago they had a special and one could get it for free, so I replied and they send me the disk. I have never used it. Now that you are talking about that, it will be time (at least soon - when I get better), to put it to the test!
The fundamental point is that to enlarge a digital image bytes (8 bits) must be added to the image file. This process is not equivalent to enlarging an image from film, tho the result, a larger picture, is the same. In Photoshop, enlarging in default mode uses a bicubic interpolation. Suppose you wish to double the size. Thus for every byte there will be two bytes. So three bytes on one side and three bytes on the other side will be used to calculate the 'new' byte. The mathematical algorithm is a cubic equation. Complicated as all get out.

1000% => ten times
ten sensors wide is not that big an enlargement.
