I have a Canon 5D and wondering if the 150=500 is compatible.
What do you think of this lens? I have seen pics. here on UHH and think it does beautiful work, but I'm afraid I have less skill than some of these photos I see on UHH.
Please let me know your feelings. Thanks
Annemarie

Hi Annemarie: I have a Canon 5D mark II...I'm not exactly which Canon 5D you own, they make a few different 5D models. I don't own a Sigma 150-500 lens, but it is on my want list, there are many members here that have and love this lens. They do make the lens compatible for both Canon and Nikon. So you need to be aware for which camera the lens is made. Hope this helps.

Yes, I have the lens and use it on a 50D. Works fine, a bit slow to focus and obviously heavy, but a great lens.

I've had this lens for a couple of months and love it. I use it on a simple Canon T3. I'm a newbie on UHH and just learning photography. Like you, I checked all the reviews I could find and was apprehensive about buying it. The two main complaints are slow to focus and heavy. Neither is a problem for me. The lens is a little heavy but I'm strong enough to hold it. On a distant moving object it does take a few seconds to lock in focus sometimes but that is it. It holds focus good once achieved. With a little practice this becomes less of a problem. I have no regrets and recommend you get it.

This Sigma does come in the Canon mount and is fully compatible with your full-frame body. There are many Canon shooters on here who use this lens and love it.

I know, I use mine regularly. I believe I was the first on UHH to get this lens and many have followed suit. Sigma definitely hit a home run with this lens.
