I've got to know....how many steps to the top of #3?

We extended Christmas this past week and enjoyed the sights of Victoria, BC

These are so beautiful. Oddly, got a message today from a dear friend who lives in Victoria.

All in the last couple of weeks.

#1 my wife took this one. (I am the old guy).
#2 Lillipilly blossom shot on the 28 december 2016 - a few 38C (100F) days in a row, and the birds took care of them.

Flowers are unusual-interesting! Hard to believe that it is 100 over there...even though I know its reverse climate on your side of the world....

The Lillypillies are very interesting. Are they a bush, tree? Do they have a fragrance?

Here's a few shots from the Gilbert (AZ) Riparian Reserve taken a couple of weeks ago.

I admire anyone who can do birds and have them sharp, colorful etc. I admire these shots.

Didn't get out a whole lot this week. I find it hard to be content with 15 minutes here or there....The sewing machine and spools of thread were taken through the window of a tailor shop. Not many "tailors" left. Still makes custom suits, repairs etc. Passed the shop while in Portland last night to see a photography exhibit - top 20 images of 2016 by Portland Press photographers. The photogs were there and very personable. Some of the images were jaw dropping - creative. Got me thinking! Some of the things they did to get their shots.... So I snapped a few of my own as we walked along. More tomorrow.

This is the rotunda of the Missouri State Capitol. On Monday a new governor will be inaugurated on the outside steps of the Capitol. The that evening a ball will be held in honor of the new Governor. I think we have one of the most beautiful Capitols in the nation. The Rotunda shot was done with a 10 mm - 20 mm lens.

Well as you know FS is for stuff you forgot from last week's Challenges or whatever you'd like to share. Personally it will be a bit of both, the last one and the next one.

I like your birds eye view image (3).

They can be sold as shrubs, however ours is about 20m (60') high. Not much of a fragrance
Towards the end of summer they can be loaded with berries which can be eaten, if you a desperate, and turned in to jam.
The rainbow lorikeets love them.
