Fabulous! Huge impact for me. I'm very familiar with great blue herons in my area of Washington State (they even hunt rodents in cow pastures!), so I've seen many, many poses.
The details, textures, shape, white background, overall pose - super duper IMO.

An amazing shot! It's plumage appears as a cape covering it's back and a scarf at it's neck! Just sitting, waiting, watching. A shot full of impact and interest!

outstanding shot. composition, pose, and sharpness and detail with the light background makes it a keeper.
i have never seen a heron shot like this. the title's not bad either.
