Has anyone heard of this program? If so what is it and what does it do? I keep getting e-mails to download it for free but I am uneasy about a photographic program no one has heard about. Any info would be appreciated.

Don't download it - it is very likely spam (at best) or malware (at worst). Delete the emails.

I downloaded the Daz 3D. It is really a cool program if you are into that. I didn't understand what it was until I downloaded it, I thought it was something else. Its not spam or malware.

If the link in the email goes to the official DAZ Industries website, it's alright. The company has been around for a long time and is well-known in the 3D-modeling world.
Sometimes people sign up for product newsletters to be emailed to them without realizing it. During installation of software, for example.
