I am a semi pro photographer just getting back into the business. Is anyone using there iPad Pro to do touch up work on there photos? Looking through the Apple website they show a photo where a person is removed from the shot and the background is automatically taken care of by the app that is being used. It seems a lt easier to manipulate the photos doing it on the iPad then using either PS or LR. Any opinions will be greatly appreciated.
The only problem I see with an iPad, pro or otherwise is the small drive capacity. I have a 500gb hard drive in my MacBook Pro and if I load more than 50 photos into Lightroom on it at once it takes forever to do any processing. If I load to a flash drive or external drive then it's not so bad. The max capacity of the iPad Pro is only 256gb. and there is no easy way to load to a flash drive. You might get by with shooting .jpg's, but then you lose the range that a raw file gives you to edit.

Why in the world would you want to edit photos on a small tablet when there are real computers with large high res monitors just made for the job? Not as bad as the photo editing apps for smart phones, but still!!!!!!
I often wish my 27" monitor was bigger. I have trouble with understanding those people who only use a laptop for editing.
Sort of like someone wanting to know if they can hunt deer with a 22 because it is smaller, lighter and the ammo is cheap.
Sorry I am in a bad mood. It is just I believe that when you do a job you use the best tools you can get under your circumstances and to me a tablet, any tablet is not the best tool for photo editing.
Thanks Jethro779 for your response. I was thinking of only using the tablet for quick edits in the field. I may only put 2 or 3 photos at a time on it.

I am not in the field to edit photos. I edit very few photos on my laptop anyway. It is mostly for transferring to an external drive for backup on trips. If I am out shooting then I do not want to take away from the time I am out to do something I can do when the weather is bad and I am sitting at home.

I can understand the laptop. I usually hook mine up to a 24" monitor when I am using it at home for editing. That is rarely though as I also haver a 27" iMac witha 5k Retina display.
I understand what you are saying Robertjeri. Please look at my response to Jethro779 and it will answer most of your issues.
Good morning. What program are you referring to that will allow you to "erace" an individual and fill in the background that is usable on the iPad Pro? Thanks
I have the iPAD Pro also, I recently took with me on a cruise of the Med (in place of carrying a laptop) and I really liked being able review shots in the evening without having to squint at the small screen on my camera or phone. It's also pretty handy for experimenting with different techniques/plug-ins. It's also very good for sharing images with travel companions. Just my thoughts, Good Luck and Happy Shooting!

How do you get your pics from your camera to your iPad Pro?
I have the Sony A7Rii, I turn on the camera's Wi-Fi then log into it with my iPAD. If your camera has Wi-Fi you should be able to do the same.
