Using a lense from my older Minolta. Sigma 105mm Macro. I do love the Sony but am not crazy about the RAW format it uses. Maybe it's because I am so used to my Nikon.

They seem o.k. with me. There isn't much DOF in either of them but I do not know if this is how you intended them to be. But the color is great!

I agree with the DOF. Thanks for pointing that out. Still learning the settings on this one.

Can you be specific about what you do not like with the Sony RAW format? I am curious to understand. Thank you.

The ARW files will not open in Elements to view. I have no problem with my NEF files from my Nikon. I have to use Sony's 'Play Memories Home' to view them. Unless I may be missing something. Please help if you can help me out with this. Thanks, Dean.

I do not have problems opening ARW raw files with Elements 9. They open in Adode Camera RAW. I am not sure that all versions of Elements has ACR access. Others may know that answer.
