Hello Forum!
It seem to be an easy problem but I don't how to fix it.
I am working with LR 6 and I Mac and imported a file "lights" to the wrong destination "documents"
I have saved all my other pics into an external hard drive and I want "lights" to be there and be able to edit it with LR.
I try different ways to no avail.
I still have the original pics in the card memory but LR refuses to importe them again (the don't even show up)

I really appreciate any help.

Did you delete the images from the Documents destination?

Hello Forum! br It seem to be an easy problem but ... (show quote)

Georgez, uncheck the feature that prevents allowing duplicates of files. RH side, File Handling, third block down: "don't import suspected duplicates", uncheck this. Good luck.

Edit a copy of the file where it is now and then export it - carefully - to the drive where you want it to be stored. Then use Apple Finder to move the original file to your preferred storage location.

Since you still have the images on a card, delete, then start over and import again----to the destination where you want them.

Hello Kmgw9v,

I did that and now aI can see the pictures but behind a veil not clearly, not highlighted? Can not select them and import them?

I have said too much--but I think the veiled look means that Lightroom still recognizes them. I defer to a smarter respondent.
Protect the images on the memory card and Good Luck. There is an answer.

within lightroom you can move the photo "lights" from where it is in documents to the folder where you want it. It is important to do this within lightroom in the library module.
