I'm going to try a 365 project this year--don't know how successful I'll be, though. Shooting windows ( the real ones, not the program) seemed a bit restrictive to me, so I expanded my subject to openings, which lets me do doors, etc., too. I'm interested in the results you might have had if you've attempted such a project, and the subject you chose, if you restricted yourself to one. Any thoughts?

Good luck and I hope you will give the results at the end of the year?

I could do that. Remind me, though--I can be forgetful.

Sounds like a great way to keep shooting. I also think your subject will be inspirational. Openings can be more than windows and doors…..

Over the years I've enjoyed shooting doorways, doors, windows, archways and similar architectural details. Good luck with your 'assignment', it should be a lot of fun.

I tried that a few years ago, and it got to be a chore. I was uploading to two different 365 sites. It was fun in the beginning, but about halfway through the year, I packed it in. When I was doing it, it pushed me to keep trying new things, but that worked for only so long. Good luck.

It's more difficult than you probably can imagine right now. It seems easy to snap a shutter once a day but after a week or two (or month) it's challenging.

I think I made it two weeks.

It can turn fun into work.

I'm wondering about that myself.

Wouldn't work for me. When I get my camera out, that's all I do for a couple of hours. Shoot lots of pictures, including "experiments" to see if something will work. Then I don't go out again with my camera for several days or a week, depending on what else is going on in my life!

I don't know if it will work for me, either, but I'm going to give it a try.
