Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome, or CHS. It’s caused by heavy, long-term use of various forms of marijuana. For unclear reasons, the nausea and vomiting are relieved by hot showers or baths. CHS can lead to dehydration and kidney failure, but usually resolves within days of stopping drug use.

Yep. Sounds exactly like everyone I Graduated in 1961 with. Heavy denial on this from long time heavy smokers.

No real personal experience here as only two joints smoked from then until now. Got laid both times-not worth the experience.

Accompanying other biggest symptom. Reduced IQ, and extremely heavy long side hair (resulting in rather ridiculous "comb over" styling.)

I don't care about CHS, and never heard of it until now. I'm concerned about the high on weed teenagers and adults, driving a car without a care in the world, and becoming incoherent. That compounded with alcohol spells nothing but deadly dangers. Statistics on DUI, generally don't include WEED use. New Years Holiday is approaching. Be cautious.

I am on Fentanyl and morphine for acute chronic pain. Even if the OP research is correct, I will prefer Mary Jane when it becomes legal here in Pennsylvania.

I'm on Fentanyl myself, but I don't know if I would ever try that. However if you do get some relief I would appreciate if you would post something here for some of us to read.

DUI is driving under the Influence. It does not specify alcohol or drugs but either is DUI.

Any substance abuse will lead to dire consequences for the body. Moderation should be be the self-parenting protocol. 2 glasses of red wine, or a pint of gin? Another media hype. Colorado's teen use of cannabis has decreased since legalization, and every traffic accident reports cannabis use, but omits the alcohol involved.

From what I have read Fentanyl is very dangerous and over dosing all to easy. Would your lungs be able to handle MJ. Here in Minnesota we have had legal MJ medications, so a search of our Department of Health reports might give you some expectations.

The real problem with heavy use of pot is the lack of initiative it creates.

Go online and do some research. Our beloved Government banned all hemp derivatives. Many of the pain relief varieties do not contain THC, the "get high" part of marijuana. At the same time the US has been funding marijuana research in Israel- for over 50 years. The drug manufacturers have been the biggest lobby against medical marijuana. It will cut into their profits!

It is just now that we are starting to hear the harmful effects from marijuana. On national TV, one who gave up the smoking because of this problem stated how he was delighted to get his life back. He said he was missing so much because of the suppression of the weed.

Omits alcohol involved. You must be kidding?

Some on here have stated that they have never heard of it, like it doesn't really matter because of their lack of knowledge. The TV show showed that most doctors have never even heard of it yet.
Now the question is when a policeman pulls over someone for a sobriety test do they have to do two tests. One for alcohol and one for cannabis. And maybe some solution for a combination of the two.
