All these big tele bazooka lenses are for full frame dslrs. There are more buyers of aps cameras than ff.
The manufactures should get thier heads out of the hole and design more smaller, lighter, lower cost teles for aps.
I am shure this market will be bigger than ff tele guns.
I am now buying the new nikon dx-p 70-300vr, Half the weight and size and sharper than the ff 70-300 for my d5500 24mpxl dslr. Then I will get the 1.4x.
The reality is APS designed teles (200mm+) are not and can not be significantly smaller than FF designed equivalents ! If you are buying this lens -
- it does NOT have VR and the main reason it is small is the f6.3 aperture - and no tripod collar either !
FF tele lenses for SLR's have been selling for about 57 years now - and for APS about 15 years - so there are WAY more FF lenses in the field being used ! - and this does drive the market.....
