Today after having breakfast with a friend, I decided to look for snow buntings on the way home. I didn't see any snow buntings, but I did see a northern harrier hunting. I stopped to watch her. When she landed, I moved forward enough to get a proof picture, but when I tried to move a little closer she flew. When she flew, something flew out of the ditch that I hadn't seen at first. That "something' was the most cooperative short-eared owl that you could ever ask for. Here are a few of the hundreds of pics that it let me take. It never did fly while I watched it for almost a half hour.
Those are great. I hope you pay him well.
