THANK YOU very much
Oh no, not another poem..
I'm on my first cup,
my mind is not up,
My fingers are dense,
that makes no sense
next time I won't screw up
Long ago it was established here that anybody making a double post owed a poem....I'm getting to be poetic!
Seriously now, I posted these last year and I find them very thought provacative in that, for one, forget the historic of the person, he just wants to go back home for Christmas. For another it brings to mind back when I was in the Navy and at the age of 19 I woke up on a rack aboard a tin can on December 25 and it was the first time in my life that I was not with my family for Christmas. I'm sure that soem of you can relate here.

These pictures were taken at Leavenworth, Washington. It was there annual Christmas lighting ceremony. When we arrived it was 7 degrees outside. My wife and I were two of the 40,000 people who were there. Everything was freezing up. The zoom lens stopped working. The batteries were working overtime. And I was shaking so bad I am surprised everything didn't come out a big blur. All that being said... I'd go back there in a heart beat.
It looks like the Alps! That pano is beautiful

Was taught street photography in Portland by Thom & PJ and it has become a neat side line. Should be a good time now with all the decorations etc.
I've actually been down the streets in Quebec City as shown here. What a beautiful place to visit. It was off season and nice weather and we had a great time that October.
Here's a few "street" scenes for perusal:

The second picture is in Booches, the best place to eat a cheeseburger in Columbia, Mo. The last one is the Magic Tree in Columbia, Mo. There are people in the picture you just can't see them.
Glad the camera stayed working! Looks like a special event for sure!
