Here is my version: I cropped the bottom and used an effect called water ripples multiplied.

Took the image into Photoshop CC, applied Topaz Adjust to enhance colors and contrast, Black and White Effects to convert to grey scale, then applied the 50s-Print texture in Topaz Textures to give the image a time worn look. Cropped to suit.

Already such varied and fascinating looks posted. What a fun photo to play with!

Primary edits: changed the perspective (distortion tool), added textures, removed "2015" and "recycle here" + darkened the man's modern shoes; should have tried to replace his shirt and shorts

Great image to play with. Somebody already did the sepia I first thought of, so I went frivolous instead.Made a few changes in the storefront too.

After many years of running a successful operation Miss Whiplash has decided franchising is the way forward so is pleased to announce the opening of the first franchised branch in what used to be a run down old shop in a dusty old heritage site. To comply with local by-laws the shop frontage has been retained and the normal neon signs offering massage services have not been installed. The local Womens Institute have been contacted with a view to making the punishment dungeon available to them for their monthly meetings plus the local Baptist church have been invited to hold there Sunday school meetings there as the opening licence hours do not include Sundays so the dungeon is free.

My humble attempt to make an old-time photo of this.

Reduced color saturation to make a b&w, added a little sepia.

After running home from the drugstore and tearing open the envelope of snaps of his trip to his grampy's in great anticipation, Harold discovered to his dismay, that not only had he missed the framing and completely misread the exposure, his trusty Kodak Jiffy 620 had developed a nasty hole in the bellows.
